    After studying Theater Arts at UC Irvine, with an emphasis on playwriting, I followed with an MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University. Over the last two decades, I worked in the story/literary departments of DreamWorks SKG, Mark Taper Forum, and San Diego Repertory Theatre. While I have worked to help others develop their creative endeavors, I am currently shifting my attention to center on my own work. I hope to garner an agent and write novels, screenplays, and articles full-time. I live in San Diego with my wife, son, and mother.

    Here is the prologue to my novel, Catch Her in the Lie, that sets up the reason for writing this book as well as the concept of the autobiographical fiction told through classic books/magical realism. Each chapter has a different tone/style flavored by the selected book.
