Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome to Wednesday Links!

A Toast update! We installed a cat cam in the spare room, just to see how much exploring Toast was doing. That boy loves gazing out the window and looking at himself in the mirror. This weekend, we have plans to open up the second floor a little bit (which is just a bathroom, master bed, and spare room) and put a gate up at the top of the stairs. Linus is very curious and loves to sniff Toast’s things, but doesn’t seem agitated by other cat smells. All good things!

For those in the States, do you have any Memorial Weekend plans? I’m moving the last of my furniture into the new apartment. I’m anxious (moving is high on my list of things that stresses me out), but I can’t wait to be done!

From Emily Becker at Mid Continent Library:

Mid-Continent Public Library has been offering a free annual romance festival for the past few years called Romance GenreCon. This is split into two parts: the writers’ conference, which has workshops and classes for current and aspiring romance writers (all free to attend), and the fan festival (also free), which offers a number of presentations and opportunities for readers to connect with both well-known romance authors as well as lesser-known local writers (local to the Kansas City area).

This year’s GenreCon will be held August 3 – 5, and we just opened registration!

We hope some of you can go and connect!

There’s a great Humble Bundle up for the next two weeks, featuring badass leading ladies from Image comics! Lots of great graphic novels here – SagaPaper GirlsMonstress.

EC Spurlock sent us this link, announcing that a Dungeons and Dragons TV/streaming channel is in the works. While I consume a lot of D&D content (shoutout to Dimension 20!), I have to wonder…who asked for this?

It reminds me of when true crime content took off and really saturated the market. The best time to hop on a trend is yesterday.

The highly successful graphic novel, Nimona, is getting a Netflix adaptation!

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!
