At age 11 Peggi declared she would become a novelist. For years she was distracted from that goal by writing everything but fiction: business reports for the Economist Intelligence Unit, magazine articles about travel or business, ad copy flogging everything from diamonds to dairy products. She helped Nortel establish a presence in Vietnam and moved on to set up and run one of the first multinational ad agencies in the country. Burnt out and having babies she decided it was finally time to focus on writing and completed her Master’s of Journalism. But that still wasn’t fiction. She completed The Writer’s Studio in 2015 and, since then, has been writing nothing but fiction, and is finally as happy as her 11-year-old self.
