DeQuaina Washington finished her first novel (a story about a kick-ass woman taking on a robot army) at the age of ten and has been writing ever since. DeQuaina writes multi-cultural stories featuring women who face and overcome extraordinary challenges, her mission always aimed at filling the gaps in depictions of such stories in popular culture.
DeQuaina secured a B.A. in English from Kent State University. She developed her dark prose style through reading the works of Christopher Pike, Octavia Butler, Don DeLillo, Arthur C. Clarke, and Jack Kerouac. She tries to pay homage to these heavy-hitters with every word she writes.
When not working on her next manuscript, DeQuaina works as a freelance ghostwriter and currently writes steamy erotic fiction for a popular serial fiction app called Radish. You can also find her work on Medium, Vocal Creators, and on her website at www.prosepunk.com.
