Diane Simmons is the author of seven books. Her first novel, Let the Bastards Freeze in the Dark, was published by Wyndham Books/Simon and Schuster. She is also the author of the prize-winning historical novel, Dreams Like Thunder (in production to be re-issued by Red Hen Press), and the prize-winning short story collection, Little America. Her recent work of historical non-fiction, The Courtship of Eva Eldridge was published by the University of Iowa press. She has published numerous short stories and essays; she was runner-up for the Missouri Review Editor’s Prize and winner of the Fish Anthology Essay prize (Ireland).
