I grew up in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and my childhood summers were spent in a Victorian cottage without television, internet, or an indoor bathroom. My sisters and I spent our days exploring the woods and putting on homemade productions of Little Women and The Secret Garden. I’ve wanted to be a novelist since I first learned to read. I studied English Literature in undergrad, and I’ve worked as a seamstress, sewing teacher, and costume designer.
In the summer of 2020, I lived in an 18th c. farmhouse by the Brandywine River. While exploring stone ruins in the bordering woods with my father, we found a colonial-era sword, and quite literally pulled the sword from the stone. I began writing my manuscript shortly after. My hope is to learn more about the industry, find an agent, and ultimately publish my work.
