This HaBO is from Becky, who wants to find this historical romance: It’s a Beauty and the Beast/Cinderella type regency romance. (Hopefully I’m not mixing up 2 titles!) The heroine shows up to the hero’s house pretty much destitute in a snowstorm or rainstorm and he has a pretty nasty attitude. He won’t put her back into the weather, at least but he is every bit a beast. She might have had a carriage or horse accident? Maybe she was being sent to become a poor spinster somewhere? He was injured or had trauma from something in another country (maybe India) and had some quirks that others found offensive but our heroine wasn’t bothered by too much. He might have been an …

This HaBO request is from Tinia, who wants to find this romance: I read this book about 2 years ago. I remember the female main character was a US commander/general working at the embassy. The beginning of the book started with an embassy meeting where all the US commanders were arguing about a pending alien invasion. Then the alien main character crashes the meeting. I had a BALL recording this, and I hope you enjoy listening to it…

Squee How to Tame a Wild Rogue by Julie Anne Long July 25, 2023 · Avon Historical: EuropeanRomance This book made me swoon IRL. Reading it was a fever dream and not just because of the sex scenes. I was so immersed in it that the real world and its troubles didn’t even occur to me for the duration of the book. (I am anxious by nature, so this is a feat.) Lorcan St Leger had a rough start in life in St Giles, but through illegal (and now legal) means, he has built himself a little empire. I realise I’m about to desc…
